What a fantastic little restaurant. Showed up an hour prior to the official opening time and asked if they could accommodate a party of 10 for 7pm. The owner asked if we could make it 7.30pm to allow the kitchen to be up and running. This we did and found a table set for us to the rear of the room. There was already a complimentary bottle of red wine left breathing on the table and the menu placed so we could all see it and so the owner could talk us through it, all in excellent English. Decisions made, we waited for our entree fresh leafy delicious salads. Main courses duly eaten, very tasty and excellent home made french frites. I also recommend the swordfish. We ended up here on a late Sunday evening. Glad to find somewhere still open. The food was good. But having ordered something that was suggested by the host and not on the menu we got a big shock when a shared meal for two (without drinks) came to 89 euro. In our minds it was very naughty not to explain the price at the point of ordering and we feel they took advantage of the situation. A real shame as otherwise they were pleasant, I cannot fault the food, just be careful.
Absolutely delicious food, and gorgeously presented. The owner walked us through the menu in detail. The only thing I would flag is that there aren’t a lot of vegetarian options on the menu, but if you eat fish or meat — you’re all set. I got the monkfish, and would recommend — it was perfectly cooked and very delicious! Several others at our table got the Madagascar shrimp and bulet, and said it was well prepared, an ample portion, and very tasty.
Amazing food you will not be disappointed! We were 5 people and we were very happy with everything. They take the time to explain the menu. You will leave very full!
