Went for lunch recently. Service was overall cold. Effective but cold. Food was good not great. Kids portions are the same as for adults...hence too much, too generous. Rock melon and Serrano ham was nice. Seared foie gras nice. Lentils and foie gras terrine good. Main: ris de veau was overcooked and chewy, veal kidneys nice and the lamb Parmentier nice and meaty. The beef steak was horrid: shoe sole. Crème brûlée very flat. We'll go back as there is potential. Not there yet at 4 ✨but on the way.
We were passing through, the hotel is very warm, very welcoming, we chose the evening stopover formula and the meal was excellent. The attentive staff, comfortable room with beautiful view of the Loire. I recommend.
Very good value for money, the rooms are starting to age, but the bedding is comfortable. Possibility of coming late after an evening if you ask for the entrance code, super practical.
