We stayed at the La Promonade units and can say what a disappointment. However the cafe was something else. Food was excellent for breakfast, staff outstanding and we could not be happier. But I believe that the hotel cannot be classed as 4.5 star. Only 3 star. At least the unit we stayed in (unit 301). Suggest the managers get the owners together of all units to make sure the units are updated, if you want people to stay. We wouldn't' stay again.
My husband and I visited La Promenade on our recent stay in Caloundra. We had breakfast here two mornings and it was lovely. The food was excellent - the service was fantastic - the coffee was great. From the time we ordered to the time we received our meals was less than 15 minutes! Staff were lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough to help us.Will be back without a doubt.
We stayed at the La Promenade for Beachfest (Car show) a few weeks ago. We were able to secure a table for 6 of us. The owners were lovely especially the Lady serving. The coffee was amazing! Just right and you MUST grab the extra large mug offered, it's HUGE worth every cent too. Lovely waterfront views definitely worth a visit.
Wonderful location, shame about the Cafe that's there... Charged crazy prices for simple food and a bottle of water. Was then informed that our dog wasn't allowed in the outside section next to the water but was allowed 5 metres away in the section on the road? We were in Caloundra for 2 nights with the intent of sampling as many cafes as we could and within reason. Could not fault this cafe so much so that we came back for breakfasts both mornings. Could not fault it. Breakfast is a treat and the location is spot on.
Most mornings after a good brisk walk along the boardwalk we ended up here for a coffee. We loved it. You feel like you are on a boat as you are right on the water's edge, but you for a landlubber like me I feel...More
This is a good consistent place to eat or get coffee. Fantastic views of the water and it's well protected from the wind in winter. The service is friendly and efficient and the coffee and meals are very good.
in the local and regular on Sunday breakfast, then the market in the main st i will park a few blocks away and some go for obesity eating is fast and good. Food: 5/5 service: 5/5 atmosphere: 5/5 .more Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
It's always a good indication that a cafe is good when the locals visit regularly, family on the next table eat there every weekend. The service is quick and the coffee is good.
