I had an incredible and unacceptable experience today with the Maître d mentioned in another comment. I've been regularly taking breaks and lunches at this place with my family, because honestly the food is ok. As the weather was rather cold today, everybody wanted to...eat inside and the restaurant was full. Still we managed to get a table for person that we booked in the morning. After having placed the order, we had the surprise to see the Maître d , telling us I'm sorry to say so, but you only took a salad and portions of french fries, which is not a lot, and that I consider to be a snack. Sieben von uns gingen in der zweiten Januarwoche zum Mittagessen. Das Wetter war draußen sehr rau und das Restaurant war sehr einladend. Es war nicht klar, ob das Restaurant überhaupt geöffnet war, da die Außenterrasse normalerweise mit Sitzen, Pelzen und einer Pop-up-Bar geschmückt ist. Bei dieser Gelegenheit war aufgrund der Nebensaison und des schlechten Wetters möglicherweise nichts los. Wir wurden wie lange verlorene Freunde begrüßt und wegen der Reinigung des Ofens in ein Zwischengeschoss verlegt, fernab von den Gerüchen der Küche. I Went there on Saturday the the opening day of the skiing domain, in the intent to eat a goulash soup, which is my favourite while skiing. There were no waiters outdoors, so I went inside. The dining room was quite full, but, miracle,...there was a table of four, all empty, with no mention of reserved on it. So I sat down there. Big mistake! When I got the attention of the waiter, I wanted to place my order, but he only asked in a quite agressiive tone who asked you to sit there . Well nobody I replied. I didn't really expect to be guided to a table by a Maitre d' in a mountain restaurant! There was no mention of please wait until a waiter has attributed you a table He asked me why I didn't...

This is a quite good mountain restaurant on the slopes. Big sunny terrace (when the sun shines). Very good pizza’s, excellent burgers with good French fries, good salads, quite good spaghetti bolognese. Very friendly and efficient service. Prices are ok (this is Switzerland). Sehr netter und effektiver Service, Merci Aubin, der uns wirklich verwöhnt hat. Wir hatten Käsegerichte mit Rösti, Hamburger mit sehr gutem Brötchen und perfekt zubereitetem Fleisch und köstlichen Café Gourmand (Kaffee zusammen mit einer großen Auswahl an kleinen Desserts). Herrliche Aussicht auf die Alpen, gleich... wenn Sie die Seilbahn verlassen, eine der schönsten Terrassen.

The location is nice, the terrace is sunny, the food is ok, but the service is just awful. We ordered and after waiting for an hour they brought the wrong order... when er said something to the girl serving us she was plain rude...and very aggressive. There are many nice places in villars ... so this is und to avoid!

This was our most expensive meal of the week and we just had two burgers, they were ok at best, service was also average. It does not compare to some of the other restaurants all of which were better value.

I took the Napoli while my friend picked the vegetarian pizza. We both enjoyed our choices. The place itself is nice, good atmosphere. Recommended.

Expected to have a casual Hütte lunch, but it turned out to be a perfect experience. It's recommended.
