Based on the reviews and finding other restaurants full, we were happy to be able to have a lunch here. The restaurant has a small, covered veranda in the back with good views over the lake, a bit narrow, specially in these Covid-times. The purple...walls seemed very vintage to our taste. We had a starter and maindish. The description of the courses on the menu were inviting, but in the end, the dishes were a bit disappointing, specially for the price asked. Tiramisu sucré-salé au chèvre as a starter was 3 different kind of vegetables with hot goatcheese on top. The goatcheese tasted fine, the vegetables had little taste. We chanced upon this restaurant and were so glad we did. Unfortunately the room with the view was full, so I'd recommend booking in advance.I chose the menu for about 28 euros and thought it was excellent value. We were given a really stunning amuse bouche - a cold asparagus veloute with foie gras. All the food was beautifully presented and very tasty. The main dish could have benefitted from being a little warmer. The portions weren't huge, but we didn't walk away hungry. The service was good. The highlight of my meal was the amuse bouche and dessert. I'd be happy to visit here again.
We had a table reserved in the terrace in the 1st seating at 715pm. We thought that it was a little too early for dinner but the view was just awesome and I think if we came any later, we might not be able to appreciate it. Food was great. We took the set menu of 28€. Service was excellent as well. Do pay attention to the drinks. It's adds up easily. They asked if we wanted an aperitif.. then we took a bottle of wine. We didn't take the coffee. (3€ for an espresso?? ) Final bill was 95€ which in my opinion, just a tad too expensive.
French food at its best! Quality of products, taste of the food and the way it looks - all is beyond amazing! In addition - you get an amazing view over the lake if you are lucky to get a table on the terrace. If you want one, think and book a table in advance. But even if you sit indoors, you will still enjoy the nice atmosphere and fantastic food. Big praise to the chef and all the staff that makes your visit unforgettable! This place is the must visit if you happen to be in Le Verdon area.

We had an exceptional view of the lake of Saint-Croix and the meal was delicious. The amount of food was exactly what we needed to feel good and satisfied. The hamburger was incredible (the meat inside tasted amazing and the fish was perfectly cooked. And... let me talk to you about the dessert... It seems that it was from a professional pastry cook! So light and balanced... I recommend this restaurant if you want to enjoy a perfect meal for a low price:
A little disappointed with the food which I thought was over fussy and lacking in taste. The melon gazpacho amuse bouche, in particular, was very bland. The real disappointment were the absolutely tiny glasses of champagne! For €9.50 I think you should expect a full size glass! The view is glorious from the terrace and the Irish waitress was attentive and friendly...we will certainly give it another try...we may just have been unlucky that night...

We loved going to this restaurant, but what a disappointment. Of some reviews, altering the owner, which would make sense as it is a completely different food, under average and expensive. A Tiramisu that was a bowl with Oreo cookies! What... a shame as it is a beautiful environment.

My second visit didn't disappoint. The view from the terrace is magnificent; the lunchtime menu is two courses for €24.90. Beautifully presented and each item on the plate is exquisitely cooked. I wish I lived closer.
