I walked in to place a lunch order, and I was the first customer in line with no one else waiting. I greeted the woman at the counter and told her what I wanted, but she simply pointed me to another woman behind the counter. I approached her, said hello, and mentioned I wanted to place an order, but she just turned away and started doing something else. Meanwhile, a gentleman in the corner, who appeared to be in management, began speaking Spanish to the two women at the counter. I could tell he was discussing me, as I speak Spanish too, though they were unaware of this. Despite my attempts to place my order, they outright refused to take it.
I went in to order lunch and was the first in line, with no one else waiting at the branch. I greeted the woman behind the counter and told her my order, but she simply passed it along to another woman and then turned away to attend to something else. There was a gentleman in the corner, who seemed to be in management, and he began speaking in Spanish with the two women behind the counter. Since I speak Spanish as well, I could tell he was discussing me, yet they still wouldn’t take my order, despite my repeated attempts to place it.
I had a great experience at this restaurant with delicious food and reasonable prices for the area. I visited on a Thursday evening around 5 PM. The service was swift, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I ordered a roasted pork plate that came with rice, beans, and a side of yellow plantains, or 'amarillos' as they’re known. Everything tasted fantastic, and the total came to about $10, which included a canned drink.
If you find yourself at the airport, I strongly suggest taking the 20-minute walk to this restaurant—it’s absolutely worth it if you have the time. Hello everyone! As a Dominican, I have to say that this place is fantastic! The authenticity really brings back memories of my grandmother's cooking. The spices, the flavor of the beans, the meat, and the rice are all perfectly cooked. They also serve empanadas, which are a must-try!

We expected the restaurant to only offer coffee and a slice of New York cheesecake, but the cheesecake truly exceeded our expectations. The service was quick and friendly. I would definitely recommend this café!
