The restaurant provides fantastic choices for the Desi community looking for authentic cuisine in Manhattan. Although the atmosphere is fairly ordinary, the food is incredibly delicious. I highly recommend sampling their non-veg platter. However, I would suggest avoiding takeout naan, as it often turns hard by the time you get home. Overall, the flavors of the food bring back memories of what you would find in South Asia.
The Masoor Dal was excellent, boasting an amazing consistency, thickness, and texture. The vegetable samosas (as shown in the second picture) were larger than the typical ones I've encountered, filled with spicy potatoes and incredibly fluffy. The Tikka Biryani tasted and looked just as good as I had hoped. Overall, the food was outstanding, the prices were reasonable, and it’s definitely worth getting the food here.
I went there to grab a bite for lunch and asked a straightforward question about whether they serve zabiha halal (hand-slaughtered halal). For some reason, the person I spoke to became aggressive, insulting me and even calling me a terrorist. He spoke to me in a very disrespectful manner, and I can’t even bring myself to repeat what he actually said.
Don't get the goat biryani, beef curry or the gulab jamun. The biryani was mostly rice and even that lacked any flavor. The beef curry was passably good but I wouldn't ever order it again. Had dinner here with family. Waiters were extremely efficient and courteous. Food was excellent. A clean establishment. It’s not a high end ambiance kind of a place but you’ll definitely leave satisfied with the experience.
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was stale and seemed to be microwaved. Dishes like paye and haleem were tasteless and not fresh at all. I definitely would not recommend dining here.
Bad service and abusive workers. The employee started calling someone a terrorist because someone asked/ wanted to confirm if the food is zabihah halal. Just a simple question, the response was ridiculous!
The food is quite good overall. My only issue is with the sauce packaging; it tends to leak easily, and I don't believe it's the dasher's fault. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The food is fantastic! The dal, kebab, samosas, and tikka biryani are all excellent. I can't wait to enjoy them again!
