We stopped by Tauernalm for eating, and they were advertising for child menu, for 6,50€. We ordered 2 of these menus, and god the “child stuff” that belong to this menu. When we was paying there was 2 child’s who just wanted something to east,...so I wasn’t very obsessive to the bill. When we was eating, we noticed that they have changed us for 2 x 12€ instead. I went to desk, who suddenly had very big difficulties to understand English, but managed to say that it was the chef that haven’t marked the plates “kids” so I went to the chef, but suddenly he didn’t speak English also. I gave up.. we went to the toilet, and what a nasty disaster.. I really recommend everyone to stay away from this...
The restroom was fresh and free. We thought we’re have a bite to eat but decided to leave again instead since the service was nonexistent. No information whatsoever in english, and since the place is formed of several mini-stations with different food it has some...relevance.. Asked if anyone there spoke English and just got a clear “nein”. Peculiar for being a “raststation”. Don’t bother come here.
Ein Autobahnstopp mitten in den Tauern kann auch ein toller Wohnmobilstopp sein, um dort zu übernachten und den nächsten Tag mit dem köstlichen Luxusfrühstück zu beginnen. Das Essen ist sehr gut, kann aber teuer sein. Die Toiletten sind sauber und ... ohne Aufpreis. Gegen eine geringe Gebühr oder sogar kostenlos, wenn Sie LKW-Fahrer sind, steht Ihnen auch eine einfache Dusche zur Verfügung:
Compared to earlier Years Landzeit HORRIBLE! Never again. They are charging 15 EUR for side dish for 12 EUR meal, same goes for salad. Pasta bolognese forgoten and cooked for 15 min, just for a waste bin not for ewting. Really bad
