So we were walking from Carcassonne to Arzens on our first day of the Chemin de Piedmont. This is the pilgrimage walk to Santiago Spain that follows the foothills of the Pyrenees. Incredibly beautiful and very uncrowned. Anyway, not a lot of options in Arzens, but this bar restaurant had great wine and pizza. We found that in rural areas of this part of France, pizza was often the only choice that was going to be less than 40 euros for the two of us. Very friendly and really great wood-fired pizza. This region of France has some incredible Rose's. Reasonably priced as well.
