We waited 25 minutes for our 6 pm reservation and then gave up. Lattanzi had irresponsibly and arrogantly overbooked and there were more than 20 of us in parties of 4 and 2 who stood at the door and couldn’t even check in with the door hostess. We all had reservations for 6 pm. The restaurant didn’t seem to care at all. No one came out to speak to us, to apologize and make reassuring noises that we were about the be seated. We gave up and went a few doors east to Barbetta, which took pity on us and gave us a lovely table in the bar area. We had a great meal there. Hopefully we won’t get a “no show” notice from OpenTable, since it was Lattanzi that was the no show!
This is a great pre-theater restaurant but when a table of 10 people completely overtakes the room, as happened last night, it was unpleasant. My friend and I could not hear eachother for the boisterous party at the next table. They should seat such groups upstairs so that normal tables of 2, 4 or 6 can have a good experience. We normally would have enjoyed a second glass of wine but we were so anxious to get away from that incredibly loud group that we skipped dessert and left. Disappointing.
As always, the food is superb, and the service can’t be better. One of my all-time favorite special occasion restaurants yesterday it was taking out my best friend for her birthday. When I came in, I told them it was her birthday and they had run over free of charge a piece of tiramisu with the candle, I highly recommend Lattanzi for all your special occasions and make sure you make reservations
lattanzi is a very authentic Italian restaurant. the linguins were excellent, as well as their crab filled salmon speciality. the bruschetta was good. in portions are small for the prices. the tables are very closely connected. all decent experience! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The food was delicious and authentic Roman Italian! The orata (sea bream) was flavored just right and the seafood pasta was perfect! Our waiter, Stefano, was personable and attentive. We will definitely dine there again!
Friendly staff, tight seating, food is good, super loud atmosphere, considering the size of the restaurant. Awesome location for theatre and Times Square.
