I arrived at the restaurant and was told to wait while the maitre’d someone else showed their table. shortly after, a white couple went in and a waitress a young white woman with long dark hair appeared quickly in a ponytail, to take her moms and offer them a table that was interesting as I was made to wait. I had hoped that the white couple would have been able to say that they didn't want to jump the waiting line, but if they didn't, I told the waitress that I was there first. She claimed that she thought I was served by her colleague. which colleague? no other employee was present. I stood by the door and waited for someone to come and bring me to the table I booked. Overall a very happy but not inexpensive experience! We particularly appreciated the attentive but not intrusive service, the recognition of our anniversary, the bottle of excellent Sauvignon Blanc at £31 and the chequered menu though clearly the latter was bewildering to some clients!
The food, attention to detail and hospitality were all superb. At £39 pounds for a 3 course set lunch plus canapés, this has to be one of the best value lunches in London right now for food of this quality.
