We visited because Laurent Duchene was on several lists for the best croissant in Paris. This was definitely NOT the case and Laurent Duchene was a huge disappointment. Their croissant is not buttery or flaky at all and tasted like a bread roll. Not sure what happened but we either went on a bad day or their quality has fallen off drastically. The croissants at my hotel 's breakfast buffet are better than their croissants. If taking the metro here and getting off at Convention station, there is a fabulous bakery right at the corner of Vaugirard and Alain Chartier It does not show on Google Maps for some reason but the awning said Artisan Boulanger . Laurent duchene was not the best hard-worker for nothing. for the moment I only tasted gianduja lightning, but working not far, I will go back to test other products. gianduja lightning was perfect: exotic jam inside the lightning, cream and gianduja leaf on top: the mixture of the 2 flavors was perfectly matched. just sublime and original at once!For a large Parisian patisserie, prices are very correct (individual cakes: 3.5 to 5.3 euros)
Unfortunately or fortunately for me, the shop of the 15th is next to me. I never resist the call of sweets. Go ahead, you will be very well received by a charming lady and a charming young man. We are neighbors and the cakes are excellent... but finally we have no pleasure in going to choose or order our cakes, a reception sometimes overvolted, always mechanical without smiles or any commercial sense that this store does not correspond to the image of a better worker of france. Everyone's been having fun this weekend. beautiful presentation and finesse in the mouth. pie fruits of excellent passion, not too sweet, creamy, light sandy paste...The vanilla is just as delicious with a pretty chocolate cracker that marvels with caramel and lemon tip. a very good quality price. You're going to enjoy it.

we paid dearly for the very low quality, the cake was with the mixed cream - margarine and beur turned, the dough - never seen. We felt like it was done for three days. any watchmaking patisserie can make you a cake much better than that.
We usually buy individual pastries at this pastry shop. so far, everything we have tasted was excellent for a correct price compared to the other "pâtissier bakers" around! to be recommended
