We have been to the Lazy Gecko many times since they opened. I usually always have the crispy tacos and my hubby usually has the super sized burrito although last night he opted for the soft tacos. I agree with other reviews that the dishes need some spicing up, more cilantro would be nice too. One chief complaint is that on three separate occasions, the restaurant never has guacamole as was the case last night. I really don't understand why they always run out, it's more than frustrating especially when you like it on your food. Perhaps we should start bringing our own since they never seem to have it. We are staying in Sooke BC, for a few days and stopped in here for lunch. OMG the food was delicious! I had the tortilla soup and hubby had soft shell tacos, both were really good! Our waitress Lane, was AWESOME! So sweet and friendly! I would highly recommend this place to others!
Friendly service and fresh delicious flavours. We are returning customers who enjoy supporting local and eating authentic Mexican cuisine and they make a mean Margarita. My only complaint is that they are always out of or don't have fresh guacamole.

The staff are friendly. The owners are very involved in the business. I LOVE the nachos (usually with refried beans and beef added). There's a nice view too.
