We were staying for a few days at Saint Cyr with our caravan before moving North to Normandy. The camp site at Saint Cyr recommended this restaurant for a good meal. We drove the few kilometres down the N10 to Le Benjimin. It is located on the main N10 and is conveniently located for Futuroscope and the various camp sites and hotels in the area.The restaurant is situated in a pleasant garden, though the restaurant building could benefit from a coat of paint. natalat binjamin is a lovely craft market next to the bussleing souk ha carmel this is just to let you know where it is. this market has plenty of stalls with mainly hand made crafts from jewlary toys fashions. You can even get a pendant...with your name on a grain of rice . there are also places to eat. I treated myself to a hand made colliderscope which you can have engraved. the prices run from 40 to about 1000NIS but the majority are a lot less even if you don’t buy and I bet you will It’s a lovely place to browse
The restaurant is conveniently located on the RN10 and has a history of being a good place to eat near Chatellerault. However, the experience was average with unmemorable dishes that one could easily replicate at home. The araignée of veal was over-cooked, a major « faux...pas » for a French restaurant. The staff is friendly, but was very slow on that day and this resulted in a very average experience for this class of restaurant. I would not recommend it to travelers.
The food was excellent, 5 stars, one of the best presented and most beautiful I ever had. Amazing! The service was also excellent, an iPad with a translated menu that really help as the recipes were quite complicated, so difficult to translate for us directly.... L’esprit du Clain owner recommended this and we were not disappointed. I have read the previous reviews, but can honestly say that this was as good as the food we had in the Maze Restaurant at the Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor. The staff... was very efficient and gave you plenty of time to enjoy the meal.
Le Binjamin was a good experience of a quality French restaurant with a varied menu at very reasonable prices. I had the foie gras as starter with the beef tenderloin while my wife had the chicken supreme. Both were excellent. The service was friendly and accommodated by terrible French.
Restaurant le Binjamin I had an excellent salade and my husband had a “Plat du Jour” with beef, that was good, but a bit below his expectations. But in general we had a good dinner.

Stopped here on the way to Bordeaux, excellent food & service at a reasonable price. Make sure to drive to the nearby Chateau Dissay.
