We went for a quick lunch outside on the terrace which is just next to the slopes, so great location. The quality of the food and the way that it is served reminds of a cheap cafeteria, however, the prices remind of a fancy brasserie. When I went inside to use the restroom an older woman (I presume the manager ?) was standing at the queue to ask everybody whether they had consumed something in the restaurant and whether they could prove that with a ticket. I did't had a ticket on me so went outside to get it. Turned out the person from our group who paid hadn't received a ticket or didn't take it. Oh where to start. hotdogs and milkshakes for our kids euros. I'm vegetarian, I wanted a snack lunch not a full blown meal with wine. I couldn't have a baguette as they are already made up with ham and cheese. Not possible...to put some cheese in a baguette for me. Despite the baguettes being empty ready for hotdogs. Maitre d told me I could get a vegetarian meal from the self service restaurant such as a pasta dish or a potato dish. Sorry, I don't want carbs and cheese, I came in for a quick light lunch, I'm in a hurry and off to ski. Ended up with a plain roll and a bag of crisps for one flavour only). I went to this restaurant and was expecting a nice calm meal but I was met with a loud shout from the waiter and was shown to my seat. I went up to the buffet and the first thing I saw was that a coke was These prices are disgraceful and I was now left with no drink thanks to these prices. I precisely said in French and English that I wanted a plain burger. I was given a burger overloaded with sauce and had to send it back. Visited this restaurant on a number of occasions while on a skiing holiday. It is conveniently situated and easy to access in and out. The food was great and really couldn't fault this. However a couple of issues let this place down. The snippy attitude of what appeared to be the manager and abrupt notice on the wall outlined a list of coffees in French and their description stating that this is what you are ordering and this is what you will get, so don't complain. Water was only free if eating and had to be paid for if ordering cake and coffee. Despite this it's still worth a visit.

This cafe is ideally situated where the ski schools meet. It is at the bottom of all the pistes near our residence ( panoramic). We have skied there, and walked there.Obviously the prices are eye watering, but not any worse than all the cafes on the slopes- I think they must have a shared tarrif system. The bar is self service, but the bar staff are friendly and efficient. The vin chaud is good, the beer is good, the hot chocolate is good. The terrace looks out to the slopes, with some chill reggae most days.Very happy customers.
We have skied Flaine for 30 years and used the Bissac forever apart from when it burned down. However, this year, Grandma, the owner was looking after the three year old grandchild and was not checking into everything as in the past. Soggy chips, yesterdays onions, no tomato and no gherkins . Even a macro cheeseburger would better. Sorry madame, we did not come back.
We went here twice for lunch. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and accommodating, clearing tables efficiently and finding places for people who were looking for somewhere to sit down. It is on the slopes but easy to reach for both skiers...or pedestrians.
This place is perfectly placed after a good run on the slopes, it's right next to the runs down from the villages and a big nursery slope, it's not cheap but the food is good.

Stopped two days on a row to have breakfast on the slope. Guys were friendly and the muffins delicious. Worth the visit, but do not expect too much.
