Having read the reviews, we were pretty excited at the prospect of eating here. We booked ahead, which was just as well, because, on a rainy night when the outside tables could not be used, only pre-booked customers were admitted. Our starters were good, but not outstanding. We then ordered bavette steaks, having read enthusiastic reviews on here. My husband’s very thick one arrived very under-cooked (he had ordered ‘à point), so he asked for it to be returned to the grill, which was happily done, and was very happy with the result once it was returned to him. Visited Montreuil on a Monday and most things were closed, but thankfully not this place so booked in advance. Great table for 4 on terrace. Friendly and prompt service throughout was a surprise after 3 days in Le Touquet, and very welcome. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the menu of the day tomato salad and pork with dauphinois potato and both courses were the best we'd had throughout our short visit to France. For dessert we had the champagne gourmand and it was so good 4 mini desserts and a glass of champagne. My husband loved his cheese board too. Definitely recommend and hoping to visit again next time in the area.
Great restaurant. The food and service were first class. 12 of us ate different meals but the bavette steak was popular and highly recommended . I had the ‘Specials’, scallops to start with, followed by Ris de Veau, both of which were very good. A number of us finished with cafe gourmand and again everyone loved it. We would definitely return.
The food we had here was of the highest quality, simply superb. The fish dishes were clever beautifully cooked. Cafe gourmand was a brilliant way to end the meal. Great staff a nice vibe too.
