after the visit of the amazing and very interesting castle we decide to have lunch with Saintic friends at the village cafe. And this, surprise! having seen the fecampo salad on the menu and being the team fecampoise I ask the boss the question! And oh surprise! The boss is my old neighbor. Unbelievable! lunch under the glycine in front of the castle is very pleasant. tomato and spinached chicken. Red fruit smoothie. and a wine of cahors quite correct. for 24€. which is quite reasonable. Long life at the gevaudun coffee!
On the occasion of our visit to gavaudun, we have lunch with family in this very friendly café-restaurant, offering dishes / plates with fresh products and served copied. a beautiful welcome in all simplicity and in bonus, an exchange with the chef. We especially enjoyed the lavender seed cake and lemon curb (speculoos, vanilla mascarpone and lemon cream.) all on terrace. a warm moment, with the pleasure of taking time in a preserved environment. a very good surprise!
We really enjoyed our meal here. A beautiful host who speaks very good English and explains everything about the menu and ingredients. That was useful to us, because our French is limited. Excellent and high quality French cuisine. We enjoyed Gravlax as... Starter, monk fish as main and Pavlova. It was an unforgettable meal and we will definitely return when we are next in Gavaudun. Very recommended, especially for a special occasion.
