The location of this restaurant is great! Set in woods and parkland, it does present an idyllic setting. The locale is all organic farms, vegetable fields and forests. The menu reflects the organic and vegetarian credentials whilst still listing more than enough beef, lamb and chicken to satisfy most palates. The staff were very friendly and the service was attentive without being intrusive. However, the building is tired; it is in dire need of a major refresh. Coupled with this was the food; whilst imaginative on the menu, the execution was poor and the presentation was woeful. There is a good choice of vegetarian dishes, but some of them sound rather unappetizing! My daughter chose a salad for her main course but was slightly disappointed because half of the plate was covered in corn crisps. The fillet of beef, chosen by my son, was excellent with a delicious sauce. I chose a pasta dish asparagus and morrel ravioli. They were tasty but the presentation wasn't exceptional. The salad I had as a starter was fresh and I suppose was local and organic. There is a reasonable choice of wines but they are expensive. Die Lage selbst ist atemberaubend: ein altes Gebäude, in dem sich ein gutes Restaurant befand. Es liegt etwas außerhalb von Crissier und ist ohne Auto ziemlich schwer zu erreichen (die nächste Bushaltestelle ist 20 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt). Über die malerische Aussicht kann ich wirklich nichts sagen, da man an einem Februarabend die Terrasse und die Aussicht nicht wirklich genießen kann, aber das Potenzial ist tatsächlich groß und im Sommer dürfte es atemberaubend sein. Wir waren zu einem Geschäftsessen dort und alles war sehr gut. Besondere Gerichte, sehr lecker und gut serviert.
Not vegetarian friendly. Despite telling them in advance that 2 of our family members were vegetarian, the staff, despite being very professional and welcoming , seemed surprised and the restaurant not ready to take care of vegetarians. The vegetarian choice were poor (2 out of the whole menu), and the plates were tasteless (it was a bunch of vegetable cooked and put together) Amuse bouche were some raw roots vegetable, with no flavor. The restaurant sells itself as “bio, green and local”, hence the disappointment was there when in fact they had no decent vegetarian alternatives.
Wir waren hier zum Geburtstagsessen meiner Frau. Die Lage ist großartig, das Personal ist freundlich und das Essen schmeckt gut. Die Portionen sind groß, da die Küche auf jedes Gericht jede Menge Gemüse und Gemüse legt. Wir konnten sie nicht beenden. Nirgendwo auf der Website oder anderen Informationen haben wir gesehen, dass die Küche erst um 19 Uhr öffnet. Sie können jedoch ab 18 Uhr einen Tisch für das Abendessen reservieren. Passen Sie also auf, dass Sie sitzen bleiben und warten, bis Sie essen können.
Though not far off, as soon as you start driving to this restaurant, you immediately see you are in the woods. You arrive at this amazing Mansion that took me back many years and I felt privileged to sit and feel the way a rich family would be in their house. Anyway, apart from the amazing ambiance the food was in perfect proportions and variety. It was great taste and very nice to have a twist to the use of the ingredients.
I just went ii this restaurant with my girlfriend in order to try something new. Was an amazing experience ! The food was really amazing and well dressed, served by professional waiters/waitress which described everything on time with experiences. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who would lie to get a great experience next to Lausanne city. Wish th best to the great team ! Olatz and Greg :
I was brought here by a friend for a birthday lunch and loved it! The food was fresh and delicious. There were plenty of vegetarian and vegan dishes — which is a welcome change from most restaurants. Presentation was beautiful and although we couldn’t sit outdoors at this time of year the large dining room was packed but not noisy. I’m looking forward to returning.
Stopped here with our commune for a coffee break before heading up to Les Pleiades. Great Reception, good service. Location is in a wooded area. Have to try out the restaurant the next time in the area. It is also a hotel.
