We went there as a table of 7 (booked earlier in the day and had a good meal! Both the raclette and the fondue were tasty and there was enough charcuterie to accompany the raclette (actually we struggled to finish it and a good selection of it. The waiters were efficient and friendly despite us being in the room upstairs. It was a bit cramped to access the staircase, but there was enough room at the table. The potence flambée of meat was very impressive too! The café gourmand was huge... worth sharing, or coming just for it ; Would go back, just for that!
Owner is super friendly and talks to all of the customers and makes jokes. Food is good and abundant. All the specialties you can expect in that region are on the menu. Dessert is awesome with huge portions. Tonton Christophe gave me a nice birthday party with complimentary genepy drinks to all 10 of us. My family of 4 went back the following week and were greeted warmly. We had again some amazing food and a super ambiance. Can 't recommend it enough. It will bring you happiness and memories forever.
Nice welcome from the Boss. We took a cheese fondue which was EXCELLENT ; then, we continued with a cafe gourmand which was gargantuan and really good. You can go to this address blindly. One advice : come with your stomach empty One remark for the Boss (explaining the 4/5 : the experience would be even better with a controlled temperature in the restaurant (to avoid too hot which was our case ; which is nevertheless better than too cold .
Last year we were a big group and after all paying the bill it was €100 short. We made up the difference. The exact same thing happened this year. All the other restaurants we went to as a group the bill all added up coincedence I don't think so. On challenging this with the owner he would not even give us the bill to double check. Wonderful staff and service, very good food at very reasonable prices. The staff were extremely patient explaining some menu options, and also to ascertain my preferences (offering me my favorite French cheese). Then when the American term “medium rare”, the waitress wanted to know what it was, understood my poor French, and “voila” a delicious medium rare stake appeared.
We visited the restaurant for dinner and had an amazing meal and night! We were four people and we called for a fondue and a pierrade (meat to share). The quantity was great for four people and the food was very tasty! Also we loved the experience of cooking the meat ourselves. The service was also very good; the staff was very friendly.
Nice atmosphere in this restaurant where we usually have dinner at least once during our holidays. The quality seems to be slightly under pressure, maybe being the victim of its own success. Indeed, the restaurant was a bit crowded. The Potence was tasty, but not as good as usual.

Had a wonderful meal, great host Christophe, awesome meal, the 9 13 year old boys were thoroughly engaged even though they spoke no French. Can't wait to go back.
