we have always loved to come to le clocher. it is a tourist restaurant with a great location in an attractive building. eating was pretty good today, but the service was really terrible. the personal was inattentive that it became a sweat. they forgot that we didn't have our main courses, our wee did not arrive in time for dinner, some of the food came cold and if after a dessert menu one of the waiting staff was actually quite rude. I would avoid this place now, there is better and friendly service at another place.
in the middle outside the city and on the search for inviting and that was the positive over. we just wanted to relax and observe how the kink goes by with a gin and tonic. a small waiting period and two small glasses arrived, which cost 19 euro and barely...combined gin and tonic . small fizz from the tonikum and very little gin. I thought to eat here before our drinks, but decided to try somewhere else.
Poor choice for vegetarians yet again and the vegetarian burger was small , served with chips and no side salad or vegetables for €17. The kids meals were €12 and plentiful. The food is basic pub grub, nothing special but over priced. The waitress was...attentive and friendly, we also all received our food at the same time which has also been a rarity on the island!
The service was fine and friendly but as this is a such a large restaurant, it felt as if you were simply a number. There is probably too wide a choice of menu, with lots of moules choices! In honesty, the moules were disappointing, small...and not very succulent. It was not especially cheap. Served a purpose but was quite perfunctory.
Service was friendly and attentive, but having had mussels nearly every day this week on the Island, it was probably the poorest here. Despite a very generous portion, they were small and lacking flavour (the mariniere sauce was little more than salt water).
we went to lunch our food lasted about an hour to arrive after the order. the personal is not very attentive. Furnace chips with moule fries was very disappointing and the owner is quite arrogant, he could better hit to a good customer...service
Very poor service and disappointing food. Langoustines were dry and over cooked and we waited over an hour for our main course which was also overcooked. No apology and no reduction in the bill. Very disappointing. Would not recommend.
In the church square with large internal and external seating. A good, well prepared lunch which is generally good value. Staff are efficient as opposed to overly friendly. Bit worth a visit
very nice restaurant. the personal is very friendly. I would recommend the moules et frites and caesar salad. for the desert karamell eis court was excellent.
