The new owners, who also run the Pianothe Crêperie across the square, have mostly continued the spirit of the vegetarian kitchen but added steaks, burgers and fries. “That’s what people want”, we were told. The food hasn’t suffered and everything is fresh and, depending on your choice, healthy. There were a few teething problems with the service and things were running slow, but who really cares about such things when situated at a sunny spot in a gorgeous medieval town. A horror. A cold welcome. Luckily it was 40 degrees on the terrace! Non-existent 33cl glasses! It's actually 25cl. A spritz that is not one and whose composition I had to explain! We have the impression of disturbing, and the worst is that it is the children of the managers who must be 7 or 8 years old, who prepare the tables! Frankly, as we often say, it was better before. Run away! Go next or opposite without hesitation! I've been coming to the Lot et Garonne for 40 years, it's one of the worst places I've been to... Just for that, hats off!
A choice without conviction at first considering the facade. Very nice surprise: very warm welcome: we were informed that they were expecting 28 people and that we had generally 1 hour for dinner. The decor is pleasant without being overloaded, the staff is attentive and responds perfectly to requests. The food is excellent (with a touch of originality: Sichuan pepper ice cream with a steak) for a very reasonable price. What more ? Thank you for this pleasant evening!
No waiters, no service, non-existent cutlery, dishes? Never seen the color. We left after 1h30 of waiting without having been received, staff who become mean if we ask for their place setting or who do not know what the grammage of the rib steak is 180g? 400g? Thanks to Sandrine and her team for her welcome. We were a table of 13 people and the service was very good, the dishes very good and fresh. An excellent value for money.
