After a little bit of the other restaurants that didn't really match us, we went down the stairs of the guard eating ......I who loves the crushing and eating well, I was wonderfully surprised! the place is amazing between its architecture and its decor made of old dishes, furniture and various utensils! and I enjoyed choosing vinyls (ranging in an old fridge) to put on the plate;-) the young boss is very friendly with a simple and pleasant welcome, full view of the open kitchen and it is nice to see the dishes prepared as they go .... no map but simple dishes, homemade ! this day it was blanquette house, camembert and its charcuterie, bavette with homemade fries plates are copied and the wi...
Upon arrival, the room offers a real special atmosphere. a piano facing us, a large kitchen open below and a decor to the old one that lets imagine an authentic cuisine ... as you love. The beef part is very good but it lacks a small pepper sauce to be excellent. the melted camembert is well chosen, not too strong and served with beautiful charcuterie. The tatin pie to finish is on top. there is only a breeze of smile and warmth to welcome and service so that everything is perfect. the sound background is appreciated but not too strong; especially in this dome-like architecture that creates resonance. the value ratio is honest but it would be more with these few small details in addition.
We were, by chance, last summer. We visited the village du castellet and came across a charming basin, threw our eye and discovered a world. The dishes are prepared under your eyes, remarkable quality: we have taken a selection of salary, two beef skewers with sauteed zucchini and persillade. dessert and cheese. Myself and my friends we spent a wonderful evening and dinner in this place! The owner was very nice, kind and genuine..it is a place where stay with friends, enjoy 70's music, simple but excellent food and Bandol wine. I hope you reader can enjoy Le Garde Manger as we did! Let' s go to Le Castellet and in the main square get down the stairs and discover it! I hope it remain the same ever..atipyque but genuine

Poker chips and playing cards...you are one of a kind, a talented musician and a delicious cook, too!
