Lunch during a ski vacation. The main dishes are what we can expect in such a alpine ski resort. However, the quality is much higher than in other restaurants we tested during these vacations. The meat was super tender, the chips homemade and delicious. A special mention to the desserts that are both original, varied, and homemade. They also change everyday, according to the inspiration of the cook (one of the waitresses).Finally, the total bill was lower than in similar outlets.
One night we popped in for an early drink - attracted by the ESF instructors having a drink prior to their torchlight descent. They chose well - I really recommend the hot drink, with pear brandy - think it's called Xante.Then we had lunch there a couple of days later with the Gendarmarie. Good, cafe style food and a nice, friendly atmosphere. Quite small, so if you want to guarentee a table at busy times I'd book.
You get so spoiled in Flaine, because everyone speaks great English, and are all extremely friendly. The owners were very friendly, but for once we had to practise our French! We had a lovely steak, and the kids had the boîte, which is a box of melted cheese. Really nice food. Would happily go again.
We always come here when we ski in Flaine. The staff is friendly and the food is great and hot and affordable. Croque monsieur and omelette was our usual choice and we were not disappointed again at our last visit. We stayed in this cozy little restaurant for late lunch after reading the good reviews and it was not disappointed! We both enjoyed the Savoyeur Burger, who was delicious. Quick service and very friendly with many beautiful items to choose on the menu, definately recommend, thank you!
We sat outside under the canopy ...which we appreciated as it was snowing! We ordered the plate d'jour which was very good . Enough to share! The omelette too was delicious. A perfect place to meet up with everyone for lunch ...even the babies in their pushchairs!
A good lunch stop in Flaine Forum good value food with all the usual suspects such as pasta bolognaise. Plat de jour always looks filling and is nicely presented. In short decent cafe style drench food at a decent price.

Love this place, waiting staff were excellent, food local and tasty with some different dishes to the usual restaurant fare in Flaine. A must try, day or night.
