love the setting, beautiful and typically traditional of the area, great terrace but poor service, very unpleasant waiter, no smile, lack of politeness, unfriendly with children, trips over your feet several times (I know there isn't much place between the table nonetheless) without apologizing and...the food was disappointing this time, looks like it has become a food factory as too popular, shame as it used to be really good try and avoid very busy evenings, when you make a reservation ask first how full the restaurant is and then decide
Arrived quite late (almost 10 PM) the restaruant welcome us giving the possibility to have a really good dinner. Typical Alsacienne dishes available, starting from tarte flambe. Everyone had different dishes, so we were able to test most of the menu. Good pat de fois...gras fan maison. Perfect meat cooked in pure Alsacian style. good carte of wines.Service was fast and efficient. Really nice typical location, with possibility to have hugee rooms as well as small priv areas for 2 or 4 .
Excellent food and delicious tartes flambées which come with different toppings (try the one gratinée with melted cheese on for extra tastiness!) served in a well renovated yet traditional farm house in outskirts of Strasbourg. 20 Minutes drove from the city center are absolutely worth it for this great restaurant. All the dishes are amazing including the desserts. Great selection of local wines. Make sure you book ahead as it becomes super crowded especially in evening.
design of the restaurant is amazing with all old decorations. the service, how much time we went was very fast and very friendly, they really know what they are doing. So, now about eating, I was never big fan about tarte flambe, but here, as. I tried it was wonderful so delicious. and desserts are really very good, only conscious about the size of dessert:D, because they are really big and good. so must remain space for the dessert
In transit from Switzerland to Netherlands we ended up here for a tarte flambee. we where pleasantly surprised by how busy the place was on a Monday night. Also the service was excellent and the tarte flambees where great. Since this was the only thing...we ate we can only recommend it for this. I will definitely be back here!
excellent service, eating and location. the place! our waitress nadia took care of us. the settings of this place is really charming and eating is of great quality. If you're in the opposite, you have to stop and eat. there's Andy laura.
a great choice to reach typical aacic dishes. especially the desserts are not what they find in all restaurants. the decoration is typical and the atmosphere is warm. there are also many places where they can park the car near.
we drove from straßburg on recommendation of the hotel reception. after a first output with French menu everything was corrected with an English restaurant. the rest of the evening was great thanks to the friendly staff.
This is definitely the place for relax meals with family and friends. Bunches of people permanently show up and have a tarte flambée and a fresh beer. Lots of people (place is really huge) but cool atmosphere.
