We visited on the recommendation of a waiter who had served us at a restaurant in the main square. They have an extensive selection including some locally influenced flavours such as cognac, cassis and melon. All six of us sat on the wooden balcony overlooking the river as we enjoyed our treats. We would definitely recommend, and return to, this place.
We’ve been visiting the region for years and return every summer to this amazing gem in Aubeterre! There’s a huge range of wonderful flavours to choose from and very reasonably priced. What makes this place so special is the view from the balcony which is stunning. Highly recommend!
Our children loved this place and went as much as possible during our holiday, but the huge selection of 30+ fresh, home made ice creams and sorbets has something for everyone and there were plenty of elegant choices for the adults. Take away or eat on the lovely terrace.

The setting is wonderful and I enjoyed the ice cream. The reason for my rating is a rude and inflexible attitude from the owner/worker. Having purchased ice cream multiple days in a row and little flexibility to a request would not have gone amiss.
Visited this little cafe for ice cream following a meal at la brasserie. Difficult decision with so many lovely flavours. Went with a salted caramel, which was amazing
