We wanted to try Cherbourg's Michelin starred restaurant, and came on a Saturday night where we enjoyed a very fine meal in a setting that deserved its star. The restaurant was fairly busy but we still enjoyed very attentive service, if not too attentive: staff kept trying to refill my partner's wine glass even though we'd repeatedly explained that he was driving and so couldn't drink any more. The food was wonderful. The amuse bouche of carrot soup and Parmesan and ham biscuits had great flavours. The bread was perfect. Meanwhile the entrée, warmed scallops on a bed of mashed potatoes with nuts and foie gras was sublime, not only were the flavours beautiful, but the textures just made it be...
Discovering the new Pily: always in the same spirit, now in another place, exceptional, with an even more remarkable, even more delicate, and even more passionate cuisine; a passion that we also find in the service and especially in the smiles of the staff. In short, excellent dinner. The dishes and small bites on the table, are here sublime, there innovative, or there ultra gourmet and gorgés d’umami, and often simultaneously. The identity of this kitchen is strong, as it is subtle, delicate, surprising and balanced, mixing herbs, algae, seeds and other niacs (such as those of Michel Bras), juices and swims, and products of the sea with cooking always mastered to perfection. Visited here during a sailing trip to France. Was a pleasant surprise to find such a sophisticated restaurant in Cherbourg. The menu is quite limited but beautifully curated.....and service excellent. A generally older crowd who I suspect were appreciative of the quality cuisine. Only negative lacked a bit of atmosphere it’s all about the food.
Good experience! Back in my hometown, I am happy to discover this restaurant with my family. The chef makes us rediscover the pleasures of the sea with a beautiful touch of yellowing. And everything is extremely well coordinated: not even 2 hours for the menu in 6 services including aperitif and dessert, everything goes with pleasure!

Excellent time at the Pily! A great trip to the palace. A real discovery of perfect tastes and associations. Fresh products, cooked locally and sublimated with perfect mastery. Home and irreproachable service. The setting and atmosphere are very pleasant.

No surprise, we loved everything! The welcome, the new building, launched 3 months ago, the view of the port, the cocktail, all dishes with more or less accessible but always very interesting flavors. Thanks for the good time!
