Heard from a local bartender while visiting Quebec City that this place was a must go and we couldn't agree more. The bartender was super cool and friendly, made us feel really welcome and even offered us an in house shot that he took with us. He gave us information on where to go in Quebec City and was generally very interested and loved his job. The drink specials were super affordable and great beers. The bar itself is pretty cool, kind of a hidden gem. Old on the inside and the back patio is super cute and enclosed with some greenery and lights, very warm and inviting. The only knock on this place is the food menu as it's only snacks but even though we were hungry we didn't want to leave...
le projet is a very nice bar and restaurant in the famous rue St-Jean, joto next to the church that gives name to the street. an old and very beautiful landlord, the bar has a fresh atmosphere and serves beers produced in microcerveceries in the province of quebec. the ceiling, even with old details of the establishment that existed there before, contrasts with the menu that is written with the chalk on painted boards on the walls. beer selection often changes, and there are also several options for wines and ciders. dishes are well served and very tasty. I recommend poutine with meat!
We had an amazing time at this restaurant tonight. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. They frequently checked on us to see if we were ready to order and if everything was going well. I brought my 4 year old daughter and they went out of their way to make sure we had a great visit and even entertained her. Thank you to Dave and all the staff for a wonderful evening filled with laughter. I especially enjoyed the red beer from Ile d'orleans, #7!
This looks like a typical (perfectly nice) bar from the street, but it's hiding a charming little walled courtyard in the back the perfect casual, comfortable, lively space to get an after work drink. Our waiter was sweet, and recommended an incredible sour beer (Collective Arts Guava Gose) that I'm still thinking about fondly. No food served beyond chips and nuts, but you can order takeout or bring your own snacks in.
A great place to stop for a drink they don't serve food (although you can bring in your own), but the beer selection is impressive! Service was fast and friendly, and the bar is cozy and has great ambiance. We went back the next day for another beer!
Not only does the selection of beers make us more and more thirsty, but the service (Isabelle!!) is outstanding. I would give 6 stars if it were possible.
Fun classic dive bar with a cute outdoor patio. Loved the selection of Canadian beer. Would love to return to taste the other drafts!!
Nice intimate bar just enough off the tourist trail to feel genuinely Quebec. Excellent range of beers and friendly staff.
