We twice visited this restaurant during our recent holiday in the village. Once with a party of 9 people and once with a late booking for 4 of us, when due to the popularity of the restaurant, we had to sit outside, which we were happy to do. On both occasions, the food was exceptional and and the service from the staff attentive and friendly. After we arrived home from our vacation, we realised that we had left an item of clothing in the restaurant the night before. After contacting them, they went to the trouble of posting it back to us in the UK, which was much appreciated. Great food, great service and reasonably priced, I would highly recommend Le Refuge to anyone visiting Les Carroz-d'...
Nearly ruined our Christmas. Despite emailing to reserve a table and then confirming we would be arriving Christmas Eve, we turned up to be refused a table. No apology offered, instead just insinuations that we hadn’t properly confirmed. I had to show two email replies (the one wasn’t enough) and then a shrug of the shoulders, as if ‘tough luck’. I confirmed with Fabienne who coincidentally greeted us, however offed no apologies for her error. We were offered a table but told we’d have a limited stay period because a family were coming in an hour. So left as a result of the terrible hospitality. Avoid.
We had a very enjoyable evening at Le Refuge. We chose a Raclette a Fondue and a Brassiarde each for two people. There was plenty of food for four adults and two children. The kids enjoyed cooking their own food. The meal was good value considering we were in a ski resort. Booking is essential as they are generally always full during school holidays . Staff very friendly and we had good service
Booked a table, we turned up they had no tables free. We called in specially the night before to confirm the booking and ask for a table outside, which she agreed to and said bring a jumper as it will be cold later! They had no table for us, except a spare unpaid table on the side. Very disappointing as we live in the village and it had been recommended.

We were a group of 10 (family and friends). From start to finish, this was an excellent experience. The atmosphere was great. The staff were friendly and obliging. We chose a wide variety from the menu and everything was first class. The service was attentive and courteous. Le Refuge 1110 deserves to be the top ranked restaurant in Les Carroz.
This is a good traditional restaurant which specialises in traditional mountain food, but also has great dishes of the day. Service was good if a little rushed, we all enjoyed our food and felt it was good value at 142 euros for 3 people including drinks and wine. You must book as it fills up very quickly.
A superb place to have a real raclette (with ail des ours , and fondues are exceptional as well. The staff is super friendly, we were advised a great wine to accompany our meal. We 've been to lots of raclette and fondue places, I would rate this one in the top three !
We visited as a party of 6, including two children. The food and service were excellent, we all enjoyed our meal, and the wine! A great place to eat out. Highly recommend the pig cheeks
