We were warmly welcomed despite not having a reservation. We think the owner himself served our table, and he made excellent wine recommendations. The decor is very light wood, plaid tablecloths, and a very cozy and charming atmosphere. We enjoyed escargot, the traditional choucroute platter, muenster with ham and potatoes, and the dessert of the day was a delicious plum crumble. Prices are very reasonable. The perfect way to end our last day in Strasbourg.
Good little winstub with a simple and welcoming frame for (small) groups and couple. Class without being pumpy. Kind and not oppressive service, lets us have time to eat, which is appreciable in this kind of small establishments. Our dishes were good though not spilling at the level of flavors. I found, among other things, potatoes jumped a little fades to my taste. Lack of grass, seasoning.
Just correct. The welcome is not the nicest. The dishes are correct without more. Lemon pie... bof. I couldn’t finish it. And as it was, we were made aware that we had to free the table. Anyway, first and last time.
