Attended a "Day on the Green" here recently and although the weather was atrocious will be going again in two months time.Very well set up as an outdoor venue, organised and hassle free entry with ample parking for all. Great to see that all the wine on offer was from the Leconfield vineyard, as well as a choice of imported beers and soft drinks on offer. This gave a great opportunity to try all the wine while enjoying the entertainment. Also there were good food stalls on site so you did not have to suffer the "terrible snag in a nasty white plastic slice of bread" or go hungry. Leconfield is a winery with several vineyards in McLaren Vale. Its cellar door is a lovely, spacious area overlooking the vineyards with views out to the surrounding hills. There are tables and chairs and a limited (but very good) range of cold food platters. A really nice place to stop and chill for a time with a glass of wine or two.The staff are knowlegable and friendly. When combined with the setting this provides a great, relaxed ambience.We tasted some of their wines and ordered some to be delivered.
I love this place. I didn't eat here but it was stunning. The wines were amazing and I emailed them when I got back home to ask about where I could get the wines in the UK. They were very quick to tell me which was great. The place is stunning and the wines are amazing. The red bubbles are my favourite. Well done. The cellar door man Jason is so funny. Probably not to everyone liking but I thought that he was great and very knowledgeable.
Had a catch up with friends (3 couples) on a rainy Autumn Saturday. We all enjoyed the Ploughman's Platter we each shared per couple and the various wines we drank to accompany the Lunch. Always a good venue to enjoy the views, wines and the great platters with friends.

Big open room with floor to ceiling glass to absorb the view, was a beautiful day when we were there to sit outside. Very nice platter for lunch with a glass that we'd just chosen from our morning tasting with our bus tour.
Great modern choice with up to the minute architecture, cosy fires and lounges for winter, beautiful views of acres of vines, and a carpeted area so not too noisy for lunch with friends.And the wines are pretty good too!
Delightful views across the vineyards. Lovely outdoor setting for the warmer days. Platters are consistently excellent. Service can be slow at times especially when it comes to ordering meals from the bar.
Leconfield only does platters but they are wonderful. You can also order extra if needed. Nice view across Mclaren Vale. Free Wine tasting

Great wines and sharing platters - and live music most weekends. This is a lovely spot for a casual glass or three.
Wonderful place to have some food and spend time with friends with beautiful view and nice wines. I recommend it
