About 6 months ago, I came across this gluten free bakery while searching for lemonade. Being in Surrey, it's a bit of luck to be able to have time to check out a new place, but sometimes you get lucky! Located at Cambie and 16th, you would think parking would be a chore, but we found street parking out front without any trouble. Inside was an amazing selection of pastries I had stopped hoping about some time ago. I had a mangoe raspberry mousse, which by my picture, I dug in before thinking about taking a picture. I was also pleased to see they actually had lemonade, which has been another mission I've been on find good lemonade! This was pretty good, very low sugar, pretty tart but not too...
I cannot sing the praises of this Gluten Free bakery enough! It is so amazing to find a bakery that makes fresh Gluten Free Croissants, I have never seen an option for GF Croissants in a bakery before, thank you! They are delicious! Everything I have purchased here is amazing. It is lovely to see so many options for various allergies and combinations of allergies. Their GF sourdough bread is delicious and has such a perfect consistency. Their pastries are creative and delicious. I live I Southern California, where we have many allergy-friendly options as well, and I miss Lemonade when I leave Vancouver. This place is absolutely, positively splendid, it is very inclusive to Guinea pigs.(my crackers was very pleased with that) we normally like to nibble on our gluten free bread as an appetizer before we indulge in our delicious pastry’s. We normally opt for the cupcakes however I was feeling dangerous today and thust we indulged in a full size cake. It was so scrumptious I was thinking about feasting on another one. Crackers enjoyed his portion so much he vomited and ate his vomit again (such a silly crackers) . I highly recommend coming here with your pet Guinea pigs IF they are well trained (like my precious life long partner , crackers)
As a celiac person, I of course did some research on gluten-free spots in Vancouver before going on my trip. I was not disappointed by Lemonade! i went twice during my one-week stay in Vancouver. I did not have time to try everything, but what I did try was good: chocolate passionfruit tart, chocolate croissant (not shaped like a croissant, but who cares, it was delicious! , shortbread cookie, carrot muffin. AND they had a menu for a GF sushi restaurant at their bakery, so we made dinner plans based on that menu that we saw. Both places carry each others' menus to cross-promote, great idea!
Small place with much organization. Efficient quick service even with the small line that was there. Asked about ingredients other than gluten and was quickly answered. And the goods are amazing. I don't know how they create fluffy muffins like that. I particularly enjoyed the raspberries and blueberries on top of the custard dessert. Always a place I go when visiting the city.
We have wanted to stop in and see the selection of baked goods . My husband has a wheat allergy, and our granddaughter has a gluten allergy. The staff was tremendous and extremely helpful. We will be back o stock up on breads and treats
Had to find a dairy free mango cake for my friends surprise celebration last minute. This bakery didn’t disappoint. I’m so happy they are located close to my work place, I’ll be making frequent visits in the future.
Their peanut butter cake is to die for. They offer delivery too which is so convenient. Also, they have the best GF croissants in the world. I wish this location was closer to me... I would be there every day
So delicious! I love the coconut cake, croissants and fresh sesame bagels. The profiteroles and scones are very good too. We often order birthday and holiday valses and desserts from Lemonade.
