This bar/restaurant caters to Western Front battlefield tourists from Australia and elsewhere (as well as locals). The barman has been to Australia. The burgers are very good and the pression beer is excellent after a long day touring the battlefields. The place can only cope with a certain number of tour group members so it is best to pre-organise a meal. Otherwise, the small staff gets overwhelmed. It's a good enough place to visit more than once.
We came here for lunch as part of a day's tour to the Somme battlefields. It is very convenient for the WW1 museum across the road and our group had a reasonably priced lunch with decent food. Most of us tried their special (a pork dish - great value at 8.50 euros). One tip picked up from our French guide - order café gourmand and you get a selection of their desserts with your coffee - here you got two cakes and some ice cream¬!
Looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday evening and ended up by chance at Les Archers. Received a warm welcome and was talked through the (limited) menu and offered sound advice. Food the food was excellent and competitively priced in what from outside looked a basic venue. Well frequented by locals which is always a good sign.
Peronne was ideal for a stop after many hours in a car. We got there a bit too early for dinner time, but the chef was kind and helpful and and served us a very good meal. The restaurant is easy to find and parking possible a few steps away. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We had the best "French Burger" ever! Service was great and Guillaume was quite helpful in helping us find a hotel in the next city where we intended to spend the night. (We are on a cycling trip) Great location, right in the city center!

right next to the museum, great french food, friendly owner / manager - english translation! lovely caesar salad and burgers (nothing like a boring English burger!)
