The first time I visited Copains was in August 2023, and the place was overrun with bees all over the exposed patisserie. The staff didn’t see any problem and continued to push the food. I visited again in June 2024 and thankfully there were no insects to be seen, although the patisserie is still exposed. Copains is a bit more expensive than other gluten free boulangeries in Paris. I got an eclair for €7 which tasted good, but perhaps not €7 good. My only other gripe with Copains is that the staff are very pushy. I was worried about not finding gluten free treats in France because of the love of bread but WOW what an absolute treat. I had a focaccia sandwich lovely bread (even quite fluffy like a wheat focaccia) and good flavour. Honestly hard to believe everything in the cafe is GF but it IS! The croissant is more dense texture due to GF flour the flavour is wonderful and made me feel like I was eating a pain au chocolat from any bakery. nice surprise, because happens by chance, and really a very nice place, terrace behind beautifully decorated and airy, the service is pleasant and we ate excellent pizzas, atypical (white base, ricotta base), with a superb paste. They serve as beautiful pieces of beef meat as well (blood, calf, tagliata, in addition to the bases). They take the ticket card resto too. Don't hesitate. prices are correct.
A very nice place! A good alternative for bread lovers who are not gluten freinds. However the price range is more than 2x what you would expect. The juices are also wayyyy overpriced especially considering they aren’t freshly pressed and a lot of the benefits disappear after half an hour in the fridge. good evening, fun dinner on shaded terrace, guinguette atmosphere, very pleasant though noisy (neighborhood roads) up to delicious pizzas, quality ingredients, top. idem meats. very smiling and efficient waitress, more expeditious boss. good but unbalanced tiramisu (too much cream, very little biscuit).
I love Copains so much! I would like to thank Anissa for her impeccable service, always smiling and attentive. I love all gluten free foods, my favorite place to eat with quality and flavor.
