In the Alpine world, lunch on the slopes is one of three things: your own packed lunch, a terrible and over-priced bowl of overcooked spaghetti bolognese, or a massive sit down lunch that lasts most of the afternoon. Les Meregers is different, specifically it is none of those things. A friend of mine recommended this restaurant's pizzas to me at least a dozen times, and I finally got round to going. I could instantly see what she was on about: home made, wood fired pizzas, cooked over a proper heat. On the slopes of the Valmenier-Valloire ski arena you'll find a cosy location away from snowpark thunder & lightning activities. That's the schhhh! For silence and relaxing with a splendid view on the Alps. The schusssss will help you to get there on a blue alpine ski track! The food is not haute cuisine, but if you expect some "Montagnards" dish you will be served with style and smile. My favorite stop to relax after a couple of killing black slopes in the morning.
Great pizzas. Good alpine food. Salads and puddings really fresh and well prepared. Try the hot ginger drink which is especially welcome to warm your hands.Sunny terrace with spectacular views. The jaggy Aiguille Noire dominating the valley.On an easy blue piste so most skiers can access the restaurant.Belly full you put the skis back on to ski back down the valley round the gentle hairpin bends and life feels good.
A regular favourite with my family - the kids adore the Tutti pizza which was perfectly done yet again. I had a salad which was good too.The hot ginger drink is a big hit with all the family too.Friendly service but beware they do not take credit cards.When it is sunny it is hard to beat eating on the terrace looking at the Aiguille Noire.It is let down by the turkish style toilets. This is an excellent ski restaurant! The 13 Euro pizzas are really good - the view is excellent! Surely it is crowded! Limited seating indoor, but needless to say - the terrace is the place to sit. Food is ordered inside, delivered at the table....More
Lunched there a few times, great pizza made in a wood fired oven. Reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and helpful. If the black run next door is closed, it's a long blue path down to the chair lift.
Great place on the pistes. They have the best view in Valloire. Food is very good. Atmosphere is charming although a little bit kitsch - temple of teddy bears. I will be back for sure.

This is always the last stop for a vin chaud on the ski home. Always very friendly and ideally placed for drinks. Have only had food here once which was fine
