This tiny café style restaurant is one if those places that serves only one thing (bruschettas) so you would expect them to do it well. Sadly, that is not the case. Their menu features a vegan bruschetta, “le vegetalienne” that has a tomato base and is topped with grilled vegetables. The bruschetta is quite large, so you only get one, but even then it is egregiously overpriced at 15 euros. Especially because despite being in France, rather than using nice bakery bread, they use a packaged bread that tastes like sawdust and has the texture of a dish sponge. the service is great and the staff is friendly, but there is only one eating on a dinner menu (bruschetta), and my annoying is that it is not particularly good. toppings are ok on themselves, but with packed bad brot in a country with such wonderful brot must be a kind of ketzerei. it is one of few places with vegan options that it is worth considering when they are in, but they are certainly overpriced a bit updated by previous review on 2021-07-05
we had some great bruchettas at les planches! it was so good that we had an extra (to share) as dessert! cozy terrace and very friendly people! will come back when in blois!
