Part of me is reluctant to admit to the existence of this place, which I found by mistake a few years ago. Unlike all the other chic and bijoux (and over priced) eateries in this upmarket coastal town, this unassuming gem near to the market turns out a great menu of freshly cooked French food. By 12.15 most days it's jam packed with locals and nearby workers who do what the French do best, enjoy a sociable lunch over a glass or two of wine. My daughter and I now come here every year for their hideously priced E13.50 formule lunch which, on our last occasion comprised a pate and salad starter, steak and chips for main and creme brulee for dessert, along with half a carafe of red and two baske...
Deauville is not cheap, but this place gives you great value. We ate a handsome French breakfast here for 6.70 euros. Nearby they were changing almost double that for a poorer spread. this place is the genuine article great service, great grub and great price. Do not be overpriced for breakfast. Search out this place. It's just across from the market square and a terrific find.
We love this cafe. Just off the 'fountain square ' it is a great place to sit and take in the ambience of Deauville without being at all pretentious. Many locals use this cafe and are friendly and happy to chat. There is a nice selection of draught lagers. Not eaten here yet but hope to soon as the food looks lovely.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here with friendly service and a great value Formule just a moment's walk from the epicentre of Deauville. Highly recommend it!
