The obvious advantage of this restaurant is the picturesque views from the terrace to the sea and the rocks. However, you still need to get to this terrace. We failed and we sat down on the other side in a small square, which the Genoese probably called piazzetta. On a hot July day, it was also mostly shade here and not so hot. Cuisine could not be appreciated, as we ordered drinks, I wine, daughter soft drinks. And the wine in France is always excellent. Next to the restaurant is the famous staircase of Aragon. You can spend all the calories you get here on the 187 steps of this ladder.
Great view but that was the best part of it. Restaurant is quite expensive I guess you pay for the view. Extreme Long waiting time. One hour after finishing the starter the main course had not arrived. In the mean time 4 tables around us were served main course and desert. We left w/o taking the main course. Service was fair I guess they knew the messed up….
We are on sail trip Sardinia corsica and visited this restaurant on our first night in Bonifacio. It was horrible experience food arrived late, potatoes were old, burned and floating in oil, fish we ordered had no taste, there was ant in the salad and some plastic in the soup!!! It was definitely in top 3 of worst restaurants of my life.
We stopped here for a refreshing drink after walking around the citadel for an hour or so. I can’t comment on the food but we had a pleasant drink overlooking the med accompanied with the shouts etc of the kids in the adjacent school, quite a bizarre experience but well worth it.
