We've been in Provence in end of June 2019 and making a tour we finished in this small town Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon. The owner of the chambre d'hotes were we stayed told us to go have a dinner in this restaurant for the awesome view on the lake and for the nice dishes. He was right, the view is outstanding and we catched the sunset! About the food, well, we both pick the entrecote (my one along with a roquefort sauce apart) and it was great, perfect cooking, high quality meat, quickly served , can't have better! Then we took some ice cream and it was fantastic too!! Price is in the average, we absolute advice this restaurant!!
We went for the drive around the Gorges des Verdon which takes a couple of hours, depending on how long and often you stop and it was way after 13:00 (when most restaurants stop serving) but we were famished. Luckily, this restaurant served right through; it is located right at the border of the lake St. Croix with a nice, shaded terrasse. The waitress was very cheerful and friendly and the fish and chips a treat. Not fine dining but a nice, friendly place to eat after an excursion to the Gorges des Verdon.
We have visited here several times but this year I could not get over how many reps just let there dogs run around we take our dog with us and my dog is never off the lead in strange places or on holiday also my dog does not like other dogs bounding up to him one of the Reps dogs chased us and I had to pick my poor dog up it was very frightening once sedum this spoilt my holiday ad I had to pick my places to walk my dog to make sure he was safe .. very disgusted has really put me off going again
We were guests this summer. See details: -space: wonderful...especially if u are lucky (or you have reserved a table) u can have your lunch with a wonderful panorama on the lake -value for money: good...in the average respect the other restaurants -food: a nice pizza...despite we are in France. Good meal also about meat and desserts. Good -service: waiters professional and gentle. My evaluation: if I will be again in the future...i'll come back....suggested!!!

The view from the restaurant is worth coming to for a meal or a drink. The pizza and salads tasted fresh and delicious, and the restaurant is very clean. Service can take a bit longer during busy times, but all the staff were welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area.
Considering the location we did not expect high cuisine and it was ok. However very disappointed that they did not respect any COVID measures. Pass was not asked and tables were close together, staff had their masks under their nose/chin! Did not feel safe…
We ate in the terrasse with 4 adults and 4 kids. Service was good, the view is beautiful. Food is ok but not great for the price. But all in all a good place for a rest at the lake!
Cozy ambiance with great views and good service. The food was just ok though the ribs were the best tasting out of the dishes we ordered. The desserts were also average.

Really nice classic French 'brasserie ' food but in an absolutely fabulous location. Good price and excellent service. PS Cafe Gourmand was a 5 dessert version!
