The setting was beautiful, the menu and food was very good but the service let the whole experience down. We spent the whole journey home talking about the disappointing service rather than the food. Overpriced and under serviced. Once seated it took 15 minutes to get the menu, then 10 minutes to order. However, it took so long for the antipasto plates to arrive that I had to ask for them. Thereafter the dishes arrived at a very casual rate. That appeared to be the case at other tables, but the times taken were far far far to long. The meal overall took 3 hours for a four course order. Wines did not really suit our palate...a bit insipid to our tastes. And the pricing was over the top. Especially when a Cab Sav(? at the entry is $80, but at the table it’s $100! We should have stayed on water.
The food had a very middle eastern flavor to it and was mainly nice but some of the dishes were disappointing. The lamb rice pilaf resembled a Biryani but without seasoning or flavor. The entree dishes were delicious except for the tasteless mozzarella cheese balls wrapped in kataifi. If it wasn’t for the olive tapenade there would have been no taste at all. Scallops were delicious as was the snapper. The dining room has a lovely ambiance the service was lovely.
overall the food was delicious and the venue looked amazing but the wine was very very expensive and not good especially the pinot. the chardonnay was nice but for $150 a bottle it should be. the pinot was not great so whilst the food was good the wine made this a place i would not hurry back to or probably recommend to our friends Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
