I went to Levetto today with my Mom and sister for lunch. I had never heard of it and when my sister told me where it was located I thought the address was in the middle of a field. It is definitely off the beaten path and hidden behind RIM Park which is unfortunate because the food and the service were very good. I just wonder how many people, like myself, have no idea it's there. My sister had a salad with grilled chicken and it was huge and my mom had the Carbonara Pasta - they were both happy with their meals. I had the Trecce Pasta (sun-dried tomatoes, garlic-infused olive oil, chilies, creamy goat cheese and arugula) which was delicious and the serving was big enough that I had a small...
Hidden away behind Rim Park. Casual and small with accommodating staff. Limited seating opposite a very long bar.Limited menu- salads,pizza,pastas and dessert.Base prices are quite reasonable but beware of $ add ons! Service (Chloe) was top notch-casual,cheerful and efficient.My Affumicato pizza served on a bread board was fabulous! Lots of crispy smoked bacon,mozzarella, mushrooms and green onions on a light crispy crust. Thumbs up!! Two of my friends and I went here for dinner on a Thursday evening. It was our first time there and we really enjoyed it.It's not very big, and when we went, it was not very busy with diners. We did notice that they had many people pick up take out orders.The menu is not extensive: salads, pasta and pizza. They make their own pasta, so I was excited to try it. I ordered the pomodoro pasta ($9) and added chicken ($5). My one friend had a large verde pizza and the other had the romaine salad. I got to try them all and they were all delicious! We split the dessert, coconut semolina cake. It was very rich, and a little dry, but still tasty. Next time I will try the white chocolate tiramisu...it...
Wow - a real hidden gem in a spot you wouldn't expect (up behind RIM Park) just over 20 items on the menu - salads, pasta and pizza, and I wanted to try everything on the menu! I was a bit sceptical about the pizza as it appears to be a thick pan pizza, but the dough / crust is light and flaky.....I can't compare it to any other pizza place. Very unique and incredibly tasty. Sauce is tangy, and toppings are fresh. The pasta is also incredible - I had the Carbonara, and it was delicious. This will become a new staple! I've been living in Waterloo for 20 years, and hadn't found a really good sit down pizza / pasta place.....this is it!
Not the best experience unfortunately. No hello when I walked in just awkward stares from staff behind the counter. The call to order was rushed and not much info given. Asked if they had any dips and whomever answered replied as if it was an annoying question. (No dips) The pizza I got was alright. It was a white sauce mushroom pizza. Flavour was on point just a bit doughy for my liking. No one said goodbye or thank you when I paid and left. Just a weird experience. Perhaps they were closing not sure.
Very nice little restaurant. Had two pizzas; the Pollo Toscano and the Affumicato, both were excellent. The two pizzas were sufficient for four people if not overly filling. Their is not a lot of indoor seating but the patio is nice and off of a quiet road. We tried two desserts; the brown butter & coconut semolina cake and the white chocolate tirasimu. Both were good if a little expensive but the cake was in my opinion the better of the two.
I had the carbonara and it was delicious my husband had a pasta with mariira and Itialian sausage which he enjoyed. Good wine small list but it works. The chairs are horribly uncomfortable we asked for the patio furniture to sit on great service. If I'm in the mood for pasta I will go back.
We split an order of Cavatelli pasta, and Verde pizza. Full disclosure: I don't often eat Italian food, so I don't have much to compare it too. But THIS food was awesome. We sat on the patio, and experienced great service. I look forward to going back soon.
Very good food from limited but good menu. Limited seating at tables but more along long bar area. Very pleasant and welcoming srtaff. Went twice for lunch during our stay and very good both times.
