Before I came to Le Grand Bornand, I did a bit of research. There was one Michelin rated restaurant in the area. I was excited to eat there but, unfortunately, it was closed. I was bummed and looked at a few places around town. About...all I found were lots of the same regional specialties (many very good but I was looking for something different). I saw L'Heliantis and decided to give it a try. It was an unexpected surprise. I thought the food was great, the service was very good, and the wine was also very good, particularly for the price. The entire experience was a nice surprise and though it was not cheap, it was a good price for the quality of the meal.

my man and I were in L’Heliantis two summers ago and it was amazing. we went back to the reopening after a long break before a week and it was an exalted experience! chef nico surprised us with a 7-course menu each. better than the other. at the end he offered us a great selection of beautiful house made gnole. my favorites is the birrr. I am looking forward to our next visit. cordial gratitude to the whole team. they make an excellent job! this place is a must if in the alps.
This is by far the best restaurant in the Thones valley. It is absolutely deserving of its first Michelin star. The food is entirely organic made with fresh local produce. The atmosphere is very peaceful achieving a great mix of tradition and modern decor. While...in the region, an absolute must go.

in this gastronomic restaurant in le grand bornand we had a pleasant dinner. the food was excellent, the service was perfect and the entire environment is beautiful. an ideal restaurant for a romantic dinner.
one of the best meals we've ever had. All right, we came twice. at a very affordable price for a Michelin-star restaurant. an excellent chef and dessert terraces.
we had a very good meal and everything was perfect. the service was efficient and friendly. we tried the menu with lamb and chicken and it was well cooked.
