I ACTUALLY CAME UPON THIS ESTABLISHMENT, WHILE GRUB HUBBING and DECIDED to TRY IT for myself.... The service and set up, NO... NO... NO... im COMPLETELY TURNED OFF... U have to ORDER, PAY and TIP before having a seat... The PLACE to STAND and ORDER is CRAMPED... i EXPECT better service, ESPECIALLY for the price... I used to work up the street at the near by Delta Community Credit Union located on Virginia Ave a few years back but I never visited this establishment. This is a very unique establishment in the way they handle payments. You pay before you see or taste your food (leaving no leverage for incorrect or nonsatisfying food). Everything was fresh I purchased the ribs, fries, and red kool-aid . My foodwas edible, nothing to write home about but, I will be willing to return to dine again. Customer service was okay and verydifferent as well. They call your ticket number, you pick up your food, refills or napkins, eating utensils you have to get upto ask for it with a wait time bc they are extremely busy(which didn 't make for a relaxing meal). I've dined at Lickety Split Southern Kitchen a few times, and the experience has been hit or miss depending on what I order. Unfortunately, last night was definitely a miss. I kept it simple with turkey wings, mashed potatoes, and treated myself to the strawberry banana pudding. The turkey was okay, but the mashed potatoes and gravy were inedible, which is surprising given how straightforward that dish usually is. This was one of the best experiences I've had since being here in Georgia. From the parking lot which was plenty of spaces reserved for guest at no charge, to the cleanliness of the business, great atmosphere, music and bar. But most of all thefood... The food, the food was some of the best I've had. Fish was crisp and light and fluffy, yams was full of juice andsweetness. My ribs were the best I've had in a long time. I visited Lickety Split Southern Kitchen after seeing it on social media. When I arrived, I stood at the register for a while with staff just looking at me, and it took about 10 minutes before someone finally greeted me and took my order. I ordered fried chicken, with all the sides priced separately. I paid $28 for mac and cheese, collard greens, and deviled eggs. The food was okay, but I've had better for less money. The inside of the restaurant was very smoky from cooking, and the smell lingered on my clothes. I'm not sure if I would return.

fantastic food. grilled pork chops were great and the sides of grown beans and yellow rice complimented them perfectly. my wife had ribs that had a perfect combo of sweet n tangy. sides of coleslaw and baked beans hot the spot. can't wait to come back andtry more!
