This wine bar cum bistro is one of the best places to eat in ? St Martin - easy away from the tourist hot Spos and the torn restaurants in the harbour area. Excellent steak, good service anbd buzzy atmosphere. Wine very good, but must be from... the bottle operators take you into his cave and let you select-- and is very helpful in terms of variety, price etc. Must say I was surprised at some of the earlier trip-avisor reviews where the service was clear terrible - this place seems to have a Jeykl and Hyde problem. I don't know what Tpo proposes
Great little wine bar/ restaurant next to church 100 metres from port and therefore much less touristy. Great music and atmosphere when we visited. Cannot complement them enough on quality and presentation of food. I had an entrecôte that was superb and melted in the...mouth. If I had a criticism it would be how they sell wine no carte,blackboard or wine list. You have to rely on their recommendations or go into restaurant and view the bottles. I would have spent more if presentation had been there. Great evening with pleasant efficient staff.
That was the best restaurant we visited in St Martin. We went to dinner three times. Highlights were the sea bazaars, steak and fish dishes. Great wine list and great staff. Go! PS on the first night because of an error in the card machine I was mistakenly charged twice on my card when I realized and returned from my hotel, there were no quibblings and was immediately reimbursed with huge apologies, only as if the service is good here.
This is a great place to eat and later in the evening if the mood is right they crank up the music (which is all good stuff) the proprietor Sebastian is a great guy... the whole place exudes a comfortable vibe ... great staff great...food and good music
