I'll start with a positive note - the marino sauce for the cheese sticks is really tasty. However, that's about where the praise ends for this restaurant. I can't understand why people rave about their Italian sandwich. It was possibly the worst thing I've ever tried. The bread was as hard as a rock, and the sandwich smelled like wet cat food. The giardiniera was more soggy than spicy. The cheese sauce was absolutely awful, especially considering it was over $5 for a chili cheese dog and came with no fries. The lady behind the counter was too preoccupied chatting with a family member to acknowledge anyone else. There was no hello, no goodbye, no thank you.
The first place we ate, the day we moved to Lagrange in 1977, and we have since been loyal customers and friends of the Little Joe family. Always a great sandwich or meal is on the menu every day. My favorite, except her famous Italian beef, (that's what my brother recently visited for me while I'm on the Mend) is when I can stop for the Pasta Meatball dinner every Wednesday. It's the best and at a price that makes sense. And if it's Miller Time, an ice cold design is my choice. Gina, Angela and Mom are always there to let things happen and say hello. The entire staff also makes a fantastic job! Hey, what for lunch... Little Joe's!
First off they brought me the wrong food. I called to let them know and to have them correct their error and she just told me too bad. She read the ticket wrong...I am so mad that these small businesses don't care enough to correct their mistakes and screw the customer. I am at work and cannot go and fix my food that's why I spent double the cost of my food to have it delivered. GH reimbursed me my money but I still have to wait 5 days. UNREAL that this joint is still in business and very surprising. I will never go back again, I hope they get shut down due to health concerns, maybe I should call the health department on them.
Always look forward to having a delicious Italian beef sandwich when we are in the area! Everyone is so friendly, and this past Fall Angela and fellow employees went the extra mile for me to make it possible to bring some Little Joe's to my dad in St Louis... it really meant a lot!

This restaurant is fantastic. The homemade bread is top-notch, with a unique giardinera loaded with celery. The flavors are well-balanced and simply delicious. Forget about the chain restaurant across the street and opt to support this local gem instead.
Another great peppery sandwich from Angela. Besides great food, the staff is the best. The 90 miles drive from MKE worth.
Very pleasant environment and excellent sampling of Chicago foods. Especially enjoyed the beef/sausage sandwich!
ALWays a good meal and great service. Been eating here’s since I was a kid.
