Service was rough. Food was not good. We have been eating at Lo Contes for 23 yrs and have loved every meal until last night. Waiter said there was a change in ownership which unfortunately has changed the quality. Seems the focus is turning tables quickly as well. I hadn’t even put my coat on and the host was clearing the table. Unfortunately I’m going to need to find a new “favorite” North End restaurant.
Waited over an hour past our reservation time. Finally got seated and had to look for a waiter to serve us, ask the hostess for bread, etc. the wait staff were working hard, the place was just very disorganized and understaffed. Food was very good when it came out… but everyone was starving by then. Wasn’t an enjoyable experience.
We waited 30 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. And then we never even saw a waiter let alone get bread and water for the table. After having waited a total of 1 hour after our original reservation time and not even placing a drink order, we had to leave. Didnt even get to try the food. Very disappointed

Well prepared Italian cuisine. Fresh ingredients. Friendly and attentive service. Appropriate price for the neighborhood.
Was expecting great Italian food with Italian servers. Nope. Very disappointed, would not recommend. Food was not good.
Food and service was just mediocre. Restaurant was half full and still very loud. Only beer and wine no full bar
