Got a Cuban sandwich among other things, noticed the Cuban sandwich was literally black, and hard as a rock. Completely burned in my opinion. Took it back and asked if it was supposed to be like that, because to me it was far too burnt. I was very polite, and expected them to make another (keep in mind I don’t send food back easily). Solid 3 stars because… My opinion maybe a little harsh because I do spend so much time in Dominican Republic.. And I know what the standards are… #1 if they are to lazy to cut the fat off of the oxtails, but only allow 5 pieces for $19 and 50% of the oxtail is pure fat, then you should know they do not properly clean any of their meat…. the girls are nice.. The food may have been fine but the service was not. The fact that you had to pay to sit was not an issue. The issue was that after we were almost done being served we asked if we could sit down and the server had an attitude. Saying, No that’s a different service but maybe she would give it to us because we had kids with us.
They are very slow on take out orders. It takes longer than any other restaurants in the area.Most of the food already cooked and ready to go on counter but still take longer to take them. Another negative thing is black plastic bags that they pack food with.

First Experience at this family restaurant rice was good as well as plantains. The beef was way undercooked. Pink on the inside. Hopefully other have had a better experience. But I wouldn’t visit this spot again.
Chicken and cheese empanadas were amazing! The crust on the empanada is the best I've ever had. Beef stew with rice and beans was melt in your mouth delicious!!!! Run to this place for food!!!
This restaurant needs to cover food trays. While taking my order, staff if talking over food; this is very unsanitary. I won't be purchasing food from her again.
The stewed chicken, yellow rice, and beans I got were all wonderful. I'll definitely be going back.

Average Dominican food. Not the best but not the worst considering it’s Albany, NY.
