No frills BBQ, burgers, hotdogs, fries. I like the simplicity of the place and the food was fantastic. The grill master took pride in his art and it didn 't go unnoticed. I saw the energy he put into making sure everything was cooked perfectly.... it was refreshing. Now with that said, even though it is a walk up counter and no wait service... I'm a longtime follower of the Loaded story. Been a Facebook follower forever, remember the old location and have kept up with news. Yet, I never visited until just the other day. Three and half years of talking about going. Lame but true. And now that I have gone, I doubt I will be back. My son and I stopped in the other day. We ordered up front from a gentleman who barely said a word. We took a seat in a greasy, hole in a wall type seating area and waited. We loved this place when we first visited years ago, and even with the new management, it’s still just as fantastic. One of the great things is the larger space, which allows for more seating and a refreshed decor. It’s an excellent spot to relax and enjoy a meal if you have the time. We ordered Buffalo fries, which were delicious—crispy with a topping of cheese and Buffalo sauce. The burgers were outstanding, and both boys enjoyed theirs thoroughly. My only disappointment was with the brisket sandwich; the brisket itself could have been better. I was informed that it was freshly made, and while I felt compelled to order it, I had hoped it would be much more tender.
Our family dined here a few years ago, and we were thrilled to return this month to find a significant transformation. The new interior design and layout are fantastic, and we really appreciate the relaxed bar atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The flavors and tastes remain just as wonderful, which is definitely a plus. The portions are generous and delicious—truly the best burgers around in Union County. I opted for their Bonzo burger and swapped the chickpea patty for turkey. More protein, less guilt!
I wanted to like this place. I really really did. However, when you are going in and there are literally none of the items advertised online it is quite disappointing. When I went there were no specialty fries or waffle sandwiches and the food the did serve was not worth the hype. Waited a long time for my order and while the food was good, it wasn't that great. The pulled pork and chicken sandwiches were decent but I was expecting more. I don't understand the hype and I probably won't be back.
Been a regular customer here for a few years now. Always ordered the burger with shiitake and carmelized onion which is always delicious. Although sometimes it can get a little salty especially the fries but it's still good. The loaded sauce can be used on your fries or burger, etc. They also serve brisket, pulled pork and hotdogs but i never tried it so i can't give my opinion on it. Their menu is short and simple, no need to take too much time deciding what to eat. Lol!
Neat location on the corner. The portion sizes are great and the food is even better. We tried a little of everything. The brisket and chicken are great! The food comes out quickly so if you are in a hurry you don't need to wait too long. The inside feels like an old dinner but the food and smells are fantastic!! The staff is friendly and helps you get what you want. If you are looking for a new place to eat. Give it a try!
My boyfriend and I were craving a great burger, so we searched on Google and discovered this place. We traveled from Staten Island and were not disappointed! The food was incredible—from the milkshake to the fried pickles, and the burger was simply outstanding. It was definitely worth the trip across the bridge. Without a doubt, these are the best burgers in New Jersey. I highly recommend it—10/10!
Good cheese fries and burgers, but they prioritize pickup orders over in-house dining and won't serve you until they catch up on orders. You may be up for a long wait. The cheese fries were really good oddly tasted exactly like Mac and cheese. I like the decor as well
