Judy and I stopped at the Lobster Hut for a late lunch today and couldn't decide what to have since it was our first visit. Another couple were sharing a mountain of fried seafood so we had to try it. The seafood platter for 2 included 2 8oz portions of fresh fish, Clams with bellys (only way we like them... no clam strips for us) , Scallops, Large butterfried shrimp, 2 coleslaws and a ton of fries all cooked perfectly!!! The batter is so light it falls of the seafood. Very delicious. Also tarter sauce, catsup and all the ice water you can drink. All this food for $38 tax... No tip since u serve yourself. Lobster roll was plentiful, good flavor. Fries come with the basket, crispy and hot. Tea was small cup and mostly ice. You order at counter, pay, then go find a seat and wait for your to be called. Food: better than average Service: quick, not rude but not friendly. Ambiance: similar to any fast food style restaurant, not much ambiance, but was bright and clean. Location: good, on the water. Visited in the off-season, so the food was ready quickly (bring your ticket up to the counter when it's called) and there were plenty of places to sit by the windows overlooking the bay. Ordered the fisherman's platter for two and clam chowder. Everything tasted great, but it is a lot of food for two people. The place didn't have a greasy smell, which was nice. The interior was spotless. Would definitely eat here again.
it was cafeteria style, they order her to eat and pick it up. we share the boiled seafood combo special. it was a good portion size. it came with cole Slav and kartoffelsalat. the seafood were in order, but had not much season. the brothcrumbs were simply abandoned. the lobster was a bit dry. they had their own parking space, so they did not have to pay for parking. great place to get their fish and chips. for plates quite reasonable. only on the road, they can easily pay almost twice for the same thing. the place is oriented to the mass, but it is not lacking in expectation. lots of space to sit and enjoy the sea view and over the only place to offer parking for the customers.
we have the plate for 1 and a clam chowder. all were really good and really generous. we were both full. I highly recommend it. very clean, good service, short wait. that is not unusual, but satisfied. I saw the lobster roll, and I think they should order the big ones instead of the little ones!
I had the fish and shrimp dinner, my wife had the scallops. This was the best seafood, we've had in a long time. Everything was cooked perfect, golden and crispy. Great flavor and the portions were generous. Last but not least the Staff we're phenomenal. I highly recommend this place!
I've been here since I was a child, and it's still as delicious as it ever was. the best clams around, and the midday specialties are good priced and are a great part. so many childhood memories and we make even more! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
