Such an authentic gem in Oak Park. Vincente Fernandez is playing on the tv. I ordered the cafe de la olla, which I haven't had in forever and was such a delicious comfort to drink on a cold morning. My friends ordered the green chilaquiles and tried the Diablo sauce, which lived up to its name. All were delicious but next time I want to try just a regular order of Rojas chilaquiles. The line was out the door mid morning on a Sunday but the wait was worth it. It's pretty clean here but packed on the regular. Definitely recommend.
It may be a small place. Simple but delicious! Bose dive hole in the wall but with priceless flavors you walk in even outside you smell the chiles. The flavor is in the air. Se huele la riqueza del sabor en la entrada. Their café de olla doesn't stay behind. It is like stepping into a kitchen in Mexico. The prices, the flavors and the wait are worth it. I had their chilaquiles with green salsa, the bean ones, and their red salsa. They were all delicious! Don't sleep on this place.
This restaurant offers the highest quality and most flavorful Mexican cuisine I've ever experienced! It was bustling when we arrived, but they seated us fairly quickly. We ordered the chilaquiles with ranchera sauce, quesadilla, and eggs, along with the cinnamon-flavored café de olla. The service was impressively efficient, and what stood out the most was how welcoming they made us feel. I will definitely be returning soon!

FYI this restaurant is very small (about 6 tables) But the food is absolutely delicious and amazing pricing! I got 1 torta, chilaquiles with beans, eggs, potatoes, 2 drinks for $20-$25. I recommend going first thing in the morning or I went around 2pm and waited shortly for a table.

I experienced a wait of over 45 minutes for takeout, which was quite disappointing. If you're in a hurry, I wouldn't recommend this place. However, if you have plenty of time to spare, the food is decent.
