Restaurant Louis13 is located in Domaine du Beauvois a 16th century hotel in St Etienne de Chigny. We were staying in Chinon about 45k away and this place was more than worth the drive there. We were greeted at the door and relieved of our jackets and umbrellas, and offered a seat in the bar to enjoy an aperitif before lunch. Das Hotel Schloss Beauvais ist der beste Ort, den ich mir für Besucher vorstellen kann, die Burgen rund um Tours zu besuchen. Ein Vier-Sterne-Hotel mit besonderer Art. Schön ist der Blue Salon, wo Sie das Frühstücksbuffet, den Eingangsbereich und die Bar bekommen können. Unser Zimmer war geräumig mit ca. 34 qm und sehr ruhig. Service perfekt, das Personal super schön, kompetent und aufmerksam. Im Sommer können Sie den Außenpool nutzen. Obwohl das Schloss ziemlich abgelegen erscheint, können Sie sich drei Richtungen nähern und den Platz mit Google-Karten leicht finden. In der Nacht können Sie die Eulen im Wald hören, die das Schloss umgeben.
The dining room was not large approximately six tables but there are other smaller and larger dining areas available on busier nights I am sure. This restaurant is located in a country hotel so it is 'off the beaten track ' but clearly it was a destination for dining. The room could accomodate more tables but the space added to the elegance. The food choices were seasonal and delicious. There were complimentary appetizers before the three course meal and a chocolate truffle and french macaroon after our meal served with coffee a nice touch.
The staff were very nice and they seat us in another room instead of in a room where there are more people. We had a intimate diner. The set menu is 3 courses with 3 choices for each course. It happen that this week there were a lot of fish choice. Usually I do not like fish so much but I tried the Raie. It was good. We had a good moment. The bar area has also several serving area so again we were not disturbed by noisy conversation. However, the restaurant is not opened Sunday evening, Monday and Tuesday in winter time.

This was a very poor three course meal for both of us. We spent a week in the Loire valley and enjoyed good food throughout. We stayed at the hotel, which we would recommend, however would recommend trying a local restaurant if you enjoy good food.
Unbelievable experience and great food with wine list. The setting is unbelievable. Very come, very private, very nice and unbelievable service. The hotel is so nice that you want to stay in it and prolong your experience. Family love the place.
We were staying at the chateau and had our evening meal there. It was out of this world. The presentation of all the courses was wonderful and the taste was Devine. The whole experience was first class.
